Man admits taking Poppy Appeal tin from Richmond shop

A man has pleaded guilty to stealing a Poppy Appeal tin from the Blackhorse Garage in Richmond, south-west London.

Leon Cowley, 31, of Chaucer Avenue, Richmond, admitted the charge when he appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court. He will be sentenced on 13 November.

He is seen in CCTV footage cutting the cord to the tin before taking it from the counter.
