Man charged over Brentford 'hit-and-run' death

A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was killed in what police say was a "hit and run".

The 68-year-old woman died after the crash on Boston Manor Road, Brentford, at about 16:00 GMT on Monday.

She had been crossing the road with her seven-year-old granddaughter, police said.

Mariuzu Jusza, 36, of Greenford Avenue, west London, is due to appear at Feltham Magistrates' Court.

A post-mortem examination found the woman died from multiple injuries. Formal identification is expected to take place today, police said.

Her granddaughter was not injured.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the investigation. Three have been bailed pending further inquiries until 10 December.
