The family of a woman who was shot dead as she celebrated her 24th birthday have described her as a "wonderful mother" who "lit up a room".

Sabrina Moss, who had a four-year-old son, was killed on Kilburn High Road in north-west London on Saturday.

In a statement her partner Arron said his feelings for her were "beyond love and words", adding: "This pain is with me forever."

A 22-year-old man has been charged with her murder.

Martell Rico Warren, of Station Road, Hillingdon, is also charged with three counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

'Fun loving'

Ms Moss's sister Christina read a family statement to reporters. She said: "Sabrina was a wonderful mother, partner, daughter and sister....she was very caring and would do anything for those she loved and cared about.

"Sabrina was very fun loving and she had great plans for the future. She wanted to have a career in youth work and wanted to help those who didn't think they had a future."

She added: "Her son was her world and he has been left without a mummy. She will not be there for his first day at school, his first school play and his first girlfriend. But he will know that mummy loved him very much.

"Sabrina loved her partner and he loved her just as much, they were meant to be together forever."

Christina said Sabrina was the perfect sister who had a "beautiful heart" and "lit up a room".

"She was my life and I'm so blessed to have had her. Even though it was only for 24 years, she was my world," she added.

The family appealed for anyone with information to come forward so they could tell her son that the "right thing has been done".

Det Ch Insp Andy Partridge said police were keen to speak to anyone who may have been on Messina Avenue at the junction with Kilburn High Road shortly before the shooting took place at 04:19.

He said police would like to talk to anyone who may have seen two men, who were wearing dark clothing and hooded tops, loitering close to some cars parked in Messina Avenue.
