The condition of a boy found stabbed in a north London street is improving, while the second boy remains critical.

Police and London Ambulance were called to West Green Road in Tottenham at 04:30 BST.

Police said two 17-year-old boys were found with stab wounds and taken to an east London hospital.

A Met Police spokesman said one boy is now in a stable condition while the other remains critical. No arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing.

Officers want to speak to a male suspect who was seen running from the scene. He is described as black and wearing a hooded top.
