After the flood: Questions over water main warning

8 August 2013 Last updated at 21:49 BST

Thames Water says it could do nothing to stop Wednesday's flood in south London - despite the revelation it was warned at least 15 hours beforehand that a pipe was leaking.

Herne Hill resident Thomas Cooney says he expected the company to investigate sooner.

Businesses and residents are now assessing the damage.

Thames Water regional manager Colin Bryant, shop owner Ken Gangadeen and magician and illusionist Barrie Westwell appear in this report by Gareth Furby.
