Brixton triple stabbing case sent to Old Bailey

A 40-year-old man has been remanded in custody after appearing at Camberwell Magistrates' Court charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.

Police found Keisha McKenzie, 28, dead, and her 17-year-old sister with stab wounds when they were called to Tilson Gardens, Brixton, south-west London at 19:10 BST on Monday.

Half an hour earlier, in Redlands Way, a 46-year-old woman was found stabbed.

Desmond Brooks, of Redlands Way, will appear at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Police said the 46-year-old woman was in a critical condition, while the 17-year-old was in a serious but stable condition.
