A 21-year-old woman was sexually assaulted while sunbathing in a south London park.

Met Police were called to Bushy Park, near Hampton Court Palace in Richmond-upon-Thames, at noon on Thursday.

A spokesman said the young woman was attacked after falling asleep while listening to music on her headphones and was awoken by the attack.

The suspect is described as being in his late 20s, and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark tracksuit bottoms.

The area was searched by officers but the suspect was not found.
