Two people in hospital after Southall workshop fire

Two people were taken to hospital after a fire in west London that destroyed a car workshop.

Homes were evacuated and an exclusion zone set up around the property on The Green in Southall after gas cylinders were reported to be inside.

Ten fire engines and 72 firefighters were involved in the incident which was reported at 21:14 GMT on Friday.

The London Fire Brigade said the blaze, the cause of which is unknown, was under control at 23:57 GMT.
