Crouch End fishmonger told shop too smoky

A fishmonger from north London who has been smoking fish for decades has been told his business is too smoky.

John Purkis has a smokehouse behind his shop in Crouch End but after a complaint from a neighbour, the local council has temporarily closed it.

Harringey opposition councillor David Winskill says Mr Purkis should be granted an injunction and allowed to continue to smoke the fish.
