Palace knife man appears in court

A man accused of brandishing knives outside Buckingham Palace has appeared in court.

Talhat Rehman, 54, of Lindsay Drive, Harrow, appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court charged with possessing a bladed weapon in public and affray.

The Queen and Prince Philip were at Sandringham at the time.

District Judge Quentin Purdy adjourned the case until Tuesday afternoon.
