Robbers attack pregnant woman with baby in north London
A pregnant woman was beaten and robbed by two men while pushing her baby in a pram in north London.
The 39-year-old was grabbed from behind and punched to the ground on Regents Park Road, between Chalk Farm and Primrose Hill.
Her pram with the baby boy in was pushed to the side and rolled into a parked car. The child was unharmed, but his mother was treated in hospital.
Officers described the robbery as a "cowardly act on a vulnerable person".
The woman was robbed of her engagement ring, watch, iPhone, handbag and a charm bracelet.
One suspect was described as white, approximately 6ft tall and of stocky build.
Suspect two was described as black and about 5ft 9ins tall.
Both men had London accents and were wearing black Puffa-type jackets with black hats and black scarves covering their faces.
The woman received hospital treatment for bruising to her face but was discharged later that evening.
The attack took place at 21;00 GMT on Christmas Eve.
Det Con Melvin Sargeant, from Camden police, said: "This was a truly unpleasant crime on a lady who is 17 weeks pregnant and with a baby, especially at Christmas time.
"Thankfully the baby and unborn child were unharmed.
"However, I appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard anything to contact police.
"This was a cowardly act on a vulnerable person and we are following several lines of inquiry to apprehend those responsible."
