Fears over Londoner Mahdi Hashi in US court

A man from Camden in north London who had his British citizenship revoked this summer has been charged with terrorism by a court in New York.

Mahdi Hashi, 23, is accused of having joined Somali militant group al-Shabab.

His father Mohamed Hashi maintains his son is innocent while the family's lawyer Saghir Hussain said the case bears the "hallmarks of rendition".
