Greenford mugging: Boys remanded over Paula Castle murder

Paula Castle Paula Castle was attacked in an alleyway in Greenford

Two boys have been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a partially-sighted 85-year-old who died after being mugged in west London.

Paula Castle was found with a head injury on Monday afternoon in an alleyway off Oldfield Lane, South Greenford. She died early on Tuesday.

The children, aged 14 and 15, from Southall in west London, appeared at Uxbridge Youth Court.

They were next due to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.
