London labour growth causes rise in employed and jobless


Unemployment in London has risen slightly, compared with a fall nationally.

But there were also 54,000 more people in work in the capital this quarter compared with the last.

Experts say an increase in both figures is down to more people entering the labour market.

BBC London political correspondent Karl Mercer spoke to online business entrepreneurs Raj Singh and Tiago Mateus, Andrew Sissons from the Work Foundation, PWC graduate trainee Molly Dickenson, PWC trainee Gideon Caller and Conservative Business Minister Michael Fallon.
