'Hole in the wall' armed robbers jailed

Help

Three armed robbers who carried out a series of bank raids across London over the past decade have each been jailed for at least 20 years.

Emmet Wynne, 48, Robert Hall, 48, and Ian Knight, 51, who were known as "The Hole in the Wall Gang", made more than £500,000 between them.

They were eventually caught in February.

Det Supt John Kielty from Metropolitan Police said the gang used to do up to a year of reconnaissance to avoid being detected.
