Murder probe after man stabbed in Fulham

A murder investigation has been launched after a 65-year-old man was stabbed in south-west London.

Police were called to reports of an assault on Fulham High Street shortly before 19:00 BST on Thursday.

The man, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody at a police station in west London.

Det Insp Craig Bradley, from the Metropolitan Police, appealed for witnesses.

He said: "At this early stage it is unclear what the motive for this incident was - if you saw anything, or have any information which may help the investigation, please get in contact."
