Foot tunnel work delay in Greenwich criticised
Greenwich Council has been accused of "appalling management", of the £11m refurbishment of two foot tunnels under the River Thames that still have not been completed.
Work on the tunnels in Greenwich and Woolwich began in 2010 and were due to be completed in a year.
The authority said there will be an independent investigation into what went wrong.
Local resident and blogger Daryl Chamberlain, Anthony Austin from Greenwich Cycling Campaign and opposition Conservative Councillor Spencer Drury have criticised the handling of the project.
