A teenager is critically ill after being hit by a lorry's wing mirror as he waited at a bus stop in west London.

The 15-year-old boy suffered serious head injuries in the accident on the A316, near the junction with Staveley Road in Chiswick, on Tuesday afternoon.

Police want to trace the driver of the lorry, which did not stop and continued towards the Hogarth Roundabout.

The vehicle, thought to have been a Daf LF lorry of 7.5 tonnes or more, had a distinctive company logo on the side.

CCTV of the vehicle has been released in an effort to trace witnesses.

Det Sgt Hartfree said: "I am appealing for information from anyone who can recognise the lorry involved or the company logo seen on the side of the lorry in the CCTV still."

The accident happened at about 16:10 BST on the northbound section of the A316, south of the junction with Staveley Road.
