Burger King stabbing: Man killed in Wood Green takeaway

A man has been stabbed to death in a Burger King restaurant at a north London shopping centre.

The stabbing happened at the fast food outlet in The Mall in Wood Green at about 23:15 BST on Thursday night.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the victim, believed to be in his early 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene,

He has not been formally identified, but his family has been told. Detectives have said no arrests have been made.

BBC London's Anna O'Neill, reporting from the scene, said the food court had been sealed off by police and staff at the shopping centre.

Forensic teams are also working in the area, she added.
