Tooting Bec Common baby remains: Woman arrested

A woman has been arrested after the remains of newborn baby were found in a south London park.

Officers were called to Dr Johnson Avenue, which runs through Tooting Common in Tooting, on 10 September, after two legs were found.

A post-mortem test could not find cause of death or determine the baby's sex.

On Monday, a 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of concealing a birth and has been detained under the Mental Health Act for four weeks.
