Mark Duggan was handed 'loaded gun'

Help

A loaded handgun was given to Mark Duggan 15 minutes before he was shot dead by police in Tottenham, north London, last year, a court has heard.

The details emerged on the first day of the trial of Kevin Hutchinson-Foster who is accused of supplying the gun - which he denies.

Mr Duggan was shot dead in Ferry Lane on 4 August and a gun was found on a grass bank near the scene, jurors heard.

Prosecutor Edward Brown told the court there was a "breadth of evidence" supporting the case that Mr Hutchinson-Foster supplied the gun to Mr Duggan.

The case continues.
