'Body parts of infant' found in Tooting Common park

Body parts believed to be that of an infant child have been discovered in a park in south London.

Officers were called to Dr Johnson Avenue, which runs through Tooting Common, at about 08:00 BST.

The area has been cordoned off and inquiries into how the parts came to be there continue. No arrests have been made, the Metropolitan Police said.

The area where the body parts were found is about two miles from St George's Hospital in Tooting.
