A 63-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the inquiry into the alleged murder of Carole Waugh.

The woman, from Chesthunt, Hertfordshire, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud.

Miss Waugh's body was found in a garage in New Malden, south-west London, on 2 August after the 50-year-old was reported missing in May.

Two men have been charged with her murder. Fifteen people have so far been arrested in connection with her death.

Miss Waugh, originally from Durham, had worked for an oil company in Libya and lived at Tressard Court in Marylebone, central London.

She was reported missing by her family who had last spoken to her on 16 April.

A post-mortem examination found she died from a stab wound.
