London 2012: 'You need ear plugs in an Olympic village'
Mascots, Olympic-themed duvet covers and even noise all featured when the media was invited to stay the night at the London Olympics athletes' village.
British triple jump Olympian Jonathan Edwards said: "If you come to an Olympic village you do need ear plugs.
"If you want to sleep in the middle of the day it will be noisy."
BBC London reporter Ayshea Buksh spent an exclusive night in the "surreal" village.
