Is London mayor's rough sleeping pledge working?

Help

One of the promises made to Londoners by Mayor Boris Johnson was to get rid of rough sleepers from the city's streets by 2012.

He said it was "deplorable" that in the 21st Century London people had to resort to sleeping on pavements.

So with six months of the year left to fulfil his promise, BBC London's Karl Mercer has been filming with charities who help the homeless to find out how the mayor is getting on.
