Missing tailor Harry Bhageerutty found dead in Thames

Harry Bhageerutty Police are trying to trace Mr Bhageerutty's movements

A tailor who worked on London's Savile Row has been discovered dead in the River Thames after going missing earlier this month.

Harry Bhageerutty, 74, had not been seen since leaving his home address in Thornton Heath, south London, on 12 June.

His body was discovered in the Thames off the Isle of Dogs, east London.

A post-mortem examination at Poplar Mortuary indicated Mr Bhageerutty had drowned.

An inquest will open in due course.

Officers from Merton Borough are trying to establish Mr Bhageerutty's movements prior to his death.
