Li Hua Cao death: Man in court charged with murder

Li Hua Cao Li Hua Cao was four months pregnant when she went missing in 2006

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a pregnant Chinese woman who went missing six years ago.

Li Hua Cao, 27, was last seen in London in October 2006 but was reported missing in February 2007 when her family in China raised concerns.

Also known as Li or Lisa Ekaireb, she worked as a waitress and a dancer in the Chinatown area.

Robert Ekaireb, 37, of Hendon, north-west London, was remanded in custody by Highbury Corner magistrates.

He will next appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday.

Mr Ekaireb, of Corrigan Close, was charged by police on Friday evening.
