Man charged over street stabbings in Thornton Heath

A man has been charged after five people were stabbed outside a butcher's shop in south London.

Calvin Fairweather, 47, has been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm following the incident on Saturday in Thornton Heath.

Two people remain in hospital in a stable condition.

Three other people arrested have been released on police bail. Mr Fairweather, from Thornton Heath, was due to appear before magistrates.
