Sam Hallam supporters celebrate his release from court

Sam Hallam was freed on bail earlier to jubilant scenes at the Court of Appeal.

He was convicted in 2005 for killing trainee chef Essayas Kassahun, 21, but always protested his innocence.

Mr Hallam's lawyer said he had been the victim of a "serious miscarriage of justice". Guy Smith reports
