London's 2012 security tested in major exercise

Help

A simulated terror attack has been carried out on the Underground to test security ahead of the Olympic Games.

More than 2,000 people, from police officers to senior members of the government, took part in the exercise in Aldwych.

It is the most high profile test so far of the emergency services' readiness and will also examine whether lessons have been learned from the 7 July terror attacks in 2005.
