Lemur found on Tooting Common 'well' after frozen ordeal
A ring-tailed lemur which was treated for shock and hypothermia after being found on a common in south-west London has been "doing well", an animal charity has said.
The primate has been nicknamed King Julien after the character in the animated film Madagascar. His species is native to the east African island and not normally seen in the UK, apart from in zoos.
Laura Slight from the Blue Cross charity told BBC London 94.9 it was a mystery as to how he ended up in sub-zero conditions on Tooting Common on Tuesday.
