Questions over Mayor's youth crime success claims

Help

London Mayor Boris Johnson has been accused of making inaccurate claims about his flagship policy to tackle youth crime.

The mayor claimed that a new unit at Feltham Young Offenders' Institution was having dramatic results on the rates of re-offending, telling MPs last month that fewer than one in five were going on to commit further crimes.

But some experts say the real figure will end up being significantly higher.
