London schools near busy roads 'face asthma risk'

A group campaigning for improved air quality in London has said the health of thousands of pupils could be at risk in schools near busy roads.

BBC London has discovered, through a Freedom of Information request, that 1,100 schools are close to roads carrying more than 10,000 vehicles a day.

The Campaign for Clean Air said research showed that schools situated near busy roads can cause asthma and other health problems.
