A £40m restoration project has been completed at St Paul's Cathedral in central London.

The programme of cleaning and repair took 15 years and was one of the largest operations of its kind in the UK.

It was the first time in its history that St Paul's had been comprehensively restored inside and out.

The culmination of the cleaning project coincided with the 300th anniversary of the cathedral being declared complete by Parliament. Alex Bushell reports.
