Man charged over unpaid luxury restaurant bills

A man has been charged by police with leaving exclusive London eateries without paying the bills.

Janis Nords, 27, of Princess May Road, Stoke Newington, north London, is charged with three counts of making off without payment at restaurants.

The charges relate to a £349 bill at the Glass House, Richmond, a £965 bill at the Connaught Hotel and a £1,021 bill at L'Oranger in St James's Street.

He is due before Camberwell Green magistrates later.

The incidents are alleged to have taken place between 14 October and 15 November.

A woman in her 20s was arrested in Stoke Newington, but was later released without charge.
