Arrest after man stabbed to death in south-east London

A man in his 40s has been stabbed to death in south-east London.

He was found at Lucas Court, Winchfield Road, Sydenham, at about 0320 BST on Sunday, after police responded to reports that a man had been injured.

A 28-year-old man was subsequently arrested and is being questioned by officers in south London.

A post-mortem examination will be held on Monday. Police said they believed they knew the identity of the victim and were trying to trace his family.
