London Fire Brigade rescue two from Harrow flat fire

Firefighters rescued two people through the back window of their flat after fire broke out in the early hours.

The fire began at the home above a dentist's surgery in Harrow, north London, at 0452 BST.

Two fire engines and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the flames.

The inhabitants, suffering from smoke inhalation, were rescued and taken to hospital. Neither suffered serious injury. The flat was part-destroyed.
