The family of a murdered man has paid tribute to him.

Warren Free, 42, of Coronation Close, Spalding, died in hospital. He had suffered head injuries.

His children described him as a "great dad with a big heart who was always there when we needed him".

Five boys and two girls arrested over his death have been released on bail. Lincolnshire Police have asked for anyone with information about his death to contact the force.

Mr Free, who had lived in Spalding for eight years, leaves behind a 13-year-old son, Adam, and 20-year-old daughter Zoe.

His parents, Bob and Stephanie, who currently live in Portugal, described him as a "doting father who always put others before himself".

"If he saw someone else in need he would do all he could for them," they said.
