Spalding murder inquiry: Youths held

Detectives have arrested two girls and a boy in connection with the death of a man who was airlifted to hospital with a serious head injury.

Lincolnshire Police said the victim, aged 42, died on Friday after being found injured at an address in Spalding on Thursday.

The death is being treated as murder and officers have arrested two girls and a boy, whose ages have not been released.

Police have appealed for information.

The victim, from Coronation Close, died at Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre.

Ch Insp Paul Timmins said police were "trying to piece together" what had happened in the area, including at a nearby skate park.

"We have identified some initial suspects which are currently in custody, and the inquiry will continue over the weekend, and progress," he said.
