Six people rescued from Skegness flat fire

Six people were rescued from a flat in a Lincolnshire town after a fire on Saturday afternoon.

Five of the victims were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation after the fire at the property on Lancaster Avenue in Skegness.

One man was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital where he was treated and discharged.

A 24-year-old local woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson and is being questioned by police.

Anyone who was in the area between 13:30 and 13:45 BST is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police if they saw anything suspicious.
