Paralympic skier Jade Etherington has been welcomed by crowds during an open-top bus tour of Lincoln.

The 23-year-old became the most successful British woman in Winter Paralympic history - winning four medals in Sochi this year.

The skier, who is visually-impaired, was recently awarded the freedom of her hometown of Bourne, Lincolnshire.

Her homecoming tour took in schools in the city and Bishop Grosseteste University where she studied.

Ms Etherington and her guide, Caroline Powell, won silver medals in the downhill, slalom and super combined, as well as a bronze medal in the super-G.

They also became the first British women to win a Winter Paralympic medal on the snow.
