Strong winds rip tarpaulin off Lincolnshire windmill

Strong winds have ripped the tarpaulin from the top of a windmill being restored and hit electricity lines.

Police closed High Street, in Burgh-le-Marsh, near Skegness, while a electricity company tackled works to make the area safe.

Malcolm Ringsell, who is responsible for the upkeep of the windmill, said the tarpaulin was blown onto cables.

Ryland Road, in Welton, and Low Road, in Osgodby, were also shut because of fallen trees or power lines.
