Lincolnshire vicar punched in face in 'road rage' assault

A man has been arrested after a vicar was punched in the face in a suspected road rage attack.

The motorists, in separate cars, were travelling on the A152, in Quadring, Lincolnshire, at about 20:30 GMT on Tuesday when they were involved in an altercation, police said.

A 64-year-old man from Gosberton was arrested on suspicion of racially or religiously aggravated assault.

The vicar, from South Lincolnshire, was treated at Pilgrim Hospital.

Police believe he was punched three times. The arrested man has been released on bail.
