James Taylor jailed for attempted rape in Sleaford

James Taylor James Taylor poses a "very high risk" of committing further sex attacks, the judge said

A gym instructor who carried out a terrifying sex attack on a 20-year old-woman as she walked home late at night has been jailed for eight years.

James Taylor, 26, targeted his victim after spotting her walking alone on the outskirts of Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

Lincoln Crown Court heard Taylor dragged the woman into an alleyway where he tried to rape her on 4 May.

During the attack Taylor, of Grantham, told her he had a knife and would kill her if she continued to scream.

Judge Michael Heath described Taylor as dangerous and said he posed a "very high risk" of committing further attacks on women.

Taylor, of Kenilworth Road, denied attempted rape but was convicted by a jury. He admitted taking cash from the victim.
