Man has part of ear bitten off in Ingoldmells

A man has had part of his ear bitten off in an attack at a Lincolnshire seaside resort, police said.

The 28-year-old from Doncaster was attacked in Sea Lane, Ingoldmells, near the Scallywags pub, in the early hours of Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man from Walsall in the West Midlands was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and is in police custody in Skegness.

Lincolnshire Police appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Det Con Emily Wooll-Rivers said: "This was a nasty incident, a man has lost part of his ear and is scarred for life.

"The area was quite busy at the time and it is likely that someone saw something that may assist the investigation."
