Man shot near Boston in 'critical condition'

A 50-year-old man has been shot in the chest in Lincolnshire.

Police said the man from Old Leake, near Boston, suffered a "shotgun injury to the chest" shortly before 20:00 BST on Thursday.

He was taken by a relative to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston where he underwent emergency surgery overnight. His condition is said to be "critical".

A man, 28, has been arrested in connection with the shooting, which police believe is "domestic-related".
