Lincoln meat cleaver pair rob man in home

Masked intruders threatened a man with meat cleavers in front of his family during a robbery in Lincoln.

Two people wearing balaclavas and boiler suits forced their way into a house on Redbourne Drive at about 22:00 BST on Monday.

The 27-year-old victim was forced to hand over cash in front of his wife and stepson.

Two other men seen nearby may have been involved and some of the gang left in a silver hatchback car, police said.

No-one was hurt in the robbery but police said all three were left "shaken up".

The suspects were described as being of stocky build, with one about 5ft 8ins (1.73m) tall and the other about 6ft (1.83m) tall.

Detectives have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
