Horncastle motorcycle crash leaves man, 36, dead

A 36-year-old man has died in a collision between a motorcycle and a lorry in Lincolnshire.

The crash happened on the B1183 at Scrivelsby, near Horncastle, just before 19:40 BST on Wednesday.

The motorcycle rider, who was from Boston, died at the scene. The lorry driver was shocked but unhurt.

Police investigators were at the scene until the road reopened at 02:00. Officers have appealed for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

Lincolnshire Police said this was the 21st recorded road fatality in the county in 2013, compared to 19 at the same point in 2012.
