Arrest over reports of BB gun shots near Winthorpe school

A woman has been arrested after police received reports of a BB gun being fired into the grounds of a village primary school.

Armed police officers were sent to Seathorne Primary School, in Winthorpe, Lincolnshire, at about 12:30 BST.

Police said no-one was hurt and the children were moved inside the school for their safety.

Officers are currently searching a property on Spirewic Avenue, which backs on to the school grounds.

The woman, 34, from Wainfleet, is being questioned at Skegness Police Station.
