About 500 people in Lincoln have taken part in an event which saw them mime to two Take That songs.

Lincoln Lipdub, organised by BBC Radio Lincolnshire, was filmed at the High Bridge and Castle Square, on Saturday.

Managing editor Charlie Partridge said the idea was to recreate the atmosphere experienced when the Olympic torch passed through the city in 2012.

People gathered from 05:00 BST to record Shine and Never Forget which will be edited into one shot.

Mr Partridge said: "We're trying to recreate that night when the Olympic torch came to Lincoln and everyone came together, and it was glorious."

The event's producer Rosemary Richards said: "Everyone can do music videos, and do things in 50 different takes, and pay lots of professional performers.

"But this is a community getting out there and saying something about their city."

The video will be uploaded to YouTube after a special screening in Lincoln on 22 July.
